Our “storyteller“ will lead you through a very intimate 3-hours experience in these cozy salarymen hangouts, where you will socialize with the owner and the clients. Fabulous cuisine and service! It is like eating at someone’s place.

Located not too far from Tokyo station, Shinbashi is a central office district engulfed between fancy Ginza and the newly established Shiodome district with its gleaming skyscrapers. Shinbashi, with all its eateries and bars, maintains a so-called “shitamachi” or “low town” atmosphere. Take a walk in Shinbashi and in the nearby areas, crowded with salarymen and “office ladies,” relaxing after the hard day of work. Enjoy Japanese food and snacks in some izakaya, the typical Japanese informal restaurants serving drinks, snacks, and traditional cuisine.

DAY AND TIME

Every Wednesday and Friday - Start time: 16:30 (meeting time 16:20). Make sure to be there at least 10 minutes ahead. - Duration: 3:00 hours (16:30 -> 19:30).

STARTING AND ENDING POINTS

The walk starts in Yurakucho JR Station and ends in Shinbashi JR Station. We will provide accurate details of the meeting point upon confirmation.

CANCELLATION

Up to 24 hours before: 10% processing fee charged if cancelled up to 24 hours before the walk starts (local time). After 24 hours: 100% charges (See our Terms and Conditions policy).

GOOD TO KNOW

During this experience, you will be walking through Tokyo streets for 3 hours. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring a foldable umbrella if it looks rainy - If you visit Tokyo's nightlife districts on your own, watch out for commercial restaurants that lure visitors with very cheap prices. They often hide compulsory surcharges that spoil the beauty of the experience! - The walk will depart on time, out of respect for all customers. Late customers will not be waited on, and there is no refund - A safe menu for food allergies and intolerances cannot be guaranteed - The minimum age for alcohol consumption in Japan is 20 - IOJ reserves the right to modify the itinerary in case of unforeseen events.
