Once a popular center of entertainment, Asakusa now lays away from the big and bustling stations of Tokyo and retains a more friendly and popular atmosphere, with all its small restaurants and izakaya though, it is also a beloved destination for food in the eastern part of the city.
Take a walk among the small streets in the center of Asakusa, tasting the old times' atmosphere of this major tourist destination which is also a peaceful residential district. Enjoy Japanese food and snacks in some izakaya, the typical Japanese informal restaurants serving drinks, snacks, and traditional cuisine.

START TIME

Start time: 16:00 (meeting time 15:45). Make sure to be there at least 15 minutes ahead.

DURATION

3 h (16:00 -> 19:00).

STARTING AND ENDING POINTS

The walk starts and ends in Tokyo Metro Asakusa Station. We will provide accurate details of the meeting point upon confirmation.

CANCELLATION

Up to 24 hours before: 10% processing fee charged if cancelled up to 24 hours before the walk starts (local time). After 24 hours: 100% charges (See our Terms and Conditions policy).

CHILDREN

From 0 to 2.99 years - free; From 03 to 11.99 years - 50% of the adult price; 12 years and older - full price.

GOOD TO KNOW

During this experience, you will be walking through Tokyo streets for 3 hours. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring a foldable umbrella if it looks rainy - If you visit Tokyo's nightlife districts on your own, watch out for commercial restaurants that lure visitors with very cheap prices. They often hide compulsory surcharges that spoil the beauty of the experience! - The walk will depart on time, out of respect for all customers. Late customers will not be waited on and there is no refund- A safe menu for food allergies and intolerances cannot be guaranteed - The minimum age for alcohol consumption in Japan is 20 - IOJ reserves the right to modify the itinerary in case of unforeseen events.

COVID-19

All storytellers are required to wear masks - All clients are required to wear masks and respect social distance - We ask all of our clients to check their temperature on the date of the walk and refrain from participating if the temperature is above 37.5°.
